Balmoral Hall School is the only school in Manitoba authorized to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) to children aged 3–12.
The PYP enriches the Manitoba curriculum with a global focus and an emphasis on transdisciplinary skills. Students are engaged in inquiry-based learning that is designed to foster the development of the whole child. The girls are provided with an education that gives them a wealth of knowledge and experience from international schools, built on a relevant and engaging educational framework for all children.
At its heart, the PYP is a commitment to structured inquiry as the principal method of learning. This enables students to develop an understanding of important concepts, acquire essential skills and knowledge, develop particular attitudes, and learn to take socially responsible actions.
