Balmoral Hall School (BH) is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information. When you, as a parent, student, alumna or other individual provide personal information to the School, such as your name, address and telephone number, it is shared with all areas of the School including the accounting, admission, and advancement offices, as well as the Balmoral Hall School board of governors, parent and alumnae associations, student council and Balmoral Hall School volunteers, so that we may communicate with you.
We believe that our BH Family is enriched through our efforts to connect students, parents, alumnae, faculty, staff and friends with the school and with one another. During the course of our various projects and activities, including school registration, personal information gathered is used to deliver services, to keep you up to date on the activities of Balmoral Hall School, including programs, services, special events, funding needs, opportunities to volunteer or to give, and to keep you informed through publications. BH's communications/marketing, fundraising, donor services and alumnae programs are all part of the advancement office.
Balmoral Hall School values the trust of those we deal with, and of the public, and recognizes that we must be transparent and accountable in how we treat the information that you provide to us. The School keeps records of names, addresses and telephone numbers, along with other personal information that is publicly available or provided through interactions with BH staff, volunteers and community members. Personal information gathered by BH is kept in confidence and under no circumstances is it rented, sold, traded or otherwise given to any organization outside the School.
The accounting, admissions and advancement offices store personal information in a confidential database and in secure files located on-site at Balmoral Hall School. Access to this information is restricted to authorized staff and volunteers, who have been trained in dealing with information in accordance with our privacy standards and who have signed a confidentiality agreement. Third parties who act on behalf of Balmoral Hall School to assist in advancement programs, such as mailing houses, are required to adhere to these privacy standards. You have the right to view your school office files upon request.
The School has identified the following Privacy Officers and their areas of responsibility:
- Head of School – Teacher and Administrative records;
- Principal of Middle and Senior School – Student, Health, Resource and Guidance Clinic records;
- Executive Director – Philanthropy and Alum records;
- Director of Finance – Financial records.
