CONVERTING ARTS & DESIGN SPACES INTO CLASSROOMS

By Genevieve Cloutier '03, Alumnae Relations

At Balmoral Hall School, we are extremely fortunate to have enough space for all students to attend school every day while maintaining two metres of physical distance, which Benidickson Centre for Arts & Design has made possible.

Spreading students throughout our campus to accommodate physical distancing protocols has meant that spaces around the school are being re-purposed as classrooms this fall while specialist teachers travel around the school to students instead of using dedicated spaces.

For example, Grade 6 and Grade 10 students have temporarily moved into Benidickson Centre, while other grades have taken over the STEAM lab (formerly, the music room in the atrium), Sifton Family Theatre, and Kozminski Common Room.

Our students and faculty are extremely grateful to have this additional space! Thank you to all who made this possible. If you’re interested in taking a walk through campus, click here now to experience our all-new virtual school tour.
