Olivia Zaporzan '08

I am a proud alum of Balmoral Hall School.

After graduating in 2008 as a lifer, I received my Honours in Business Administration (HBA) at Western University’s Ivey School of Business in 2012.

Complete with more than 10 years of technology and client experience, I currently lead the product vision and strategy for the SSENSE app, a Montreal-based global fashion platform pacing the vanguard of directional retail with its mix of luxury, streetwear, and avant-garde labels. SSENSE currently serves in more than 150 countries and was valued at $5 billion CAD in 2021.

In 2023, I joined Balmoral Hall School’s Foundation Board of Directors with a desire to become reacquainted with my earliest community and our long-lasting ties. 2025 marks my second year as co-chair of our annual online auction, which funds bursaries for Girls of Promise who attend Balmoral Hall School. The auction, in particular, is an endeavour very dear to me as it has allowed me to follow closely in the philanthropic footsteps of my incredible mother, Brenda Zaporzan, who had a profound impact as chair of Balmoral Hall Parent Association’s auction from 2004–2006, in addition to her contribution as social chair in 2007–2008.

Balmoral Hall School exposed me to leadership opportunities early, while challenging me academically. This experience was paramount to fostering my creativity and confidence as a young person. Most importantly, it became the avenue for me to my most cherished connections, lifelong friendships.

My involvement with BH Foundation makes it possible to create the same opportunities that I once had for girls today, regardless of circumstance.
